HOW WE PUT A PRESIDENT INTO
THE GROUND
For MOCKINGJAY – PART 2, the grand finale of the world famous Hunger Games film series, we proclaimed together with Studiocanal a rebellion and built a monument that was not meant to last.
It took a total of 5 weeks until a team of sculptors had carved the visage – 10 meters high and 100 tons in weight – of the ruthless president of Panem into the rock of a sandstone quarry in Bavaria.
It took another two days until fans around the world had triggered its spectacular explosion via Twitter. The result was national and international media coverage and hundreds of thousands of video clicks.
